Mae is a stunning black roan, imported from the Czech Republic. As a young pup she was very confident and bold. She came out of her crate at the airport full of fire! She has an amazing nose and a ton of style. She is a fun one to watch in the field. She is a dog that adjusts her range with the type of terrain you are hunting, staying within 50 yards or so in the south Texas brush and reaching out to 200 plus in the northern prairies. We had the privilege of being a demo dog for the Natural Ability test at the NAVHDA AIMS and Rules Clinic when she was 8 months old. Had it been a real test, she would have been a prize 1.

Mae ran her NAVHDA Natural Ability Test at 15 months old. Out of all the dogs I have ran in NA, Mae had the best field work. She is a bird finding machine that strives to please her handler. Mae has a high prize 2 in NAVHDA Utility Test that i am hopeful will turn into a prize 1 very soon.

Mae entered a show ring for the first time in March 2022. There were 3 shows that weekend. She won her class in each show and went Reserve Best Female behind Hannah in each show. I cannot wait to finish her championship. For a young wiggly dog, she did very well in the ring. The judge commented on her beautiful gait and with more time to grow and mature, she will turn into a very nice female.

Mae has a huge personality. The retrieve in this one is strong. She always has something in her mouth to bring to you, sometimes it's a leaf and other times it is a gallon of milk. She excels in the duck blind or on the prairies. She is a truly versatile dog. We are waiting the arrival of her 2nd litter. I plan to get her started in dog sports in 2024, with goals to hit the obedience ring as well.
